Sagarmatha National Park is one of the natural sites enlisted in UNESCO Heritage Site for its natural beauty and one of the highest peak of the world- Sagarmatha (8848 km), which is also known as Mount Everest. Sagarmatha National Park is also popularly known as Sagarmatha Rashtriya Nikunja in the Nepali word striving to protect natural habitats of the Himalayas of north-east Nepal. It covers the area of 1,148 km sq, lies in the Solukhumbu district. It does not only protect the natural habitats only but also protects the unique cultures and traditions of the Sherpas Community. In Sagarmatha National park, you can also observe other popular peaks of Nepal such as Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, and Nuptse. And major rivers of Nepal such as Dudhkoshi, Bhotekoshi, and Imjakhola.

Sagarmatha National Park is Nepal’s amazing national park established in 1976 and listed as Natural World Heritage Site of Nepal by UNESCO. In 2002, a buffer zone was added covering 275 km sq. (106 sq Miles) land area for the conservation wildlife, forests, other natural resources including the development of renewable alternative energy.
Sagarmatha National Park becomes a tourism area in the early 1960s and due to its popularity of the beauty the tourist to travel National park been increasing.

  3. The park sits at high altitude, ranging from 9,333 feet (2,845 meters) to 29,028 feet (8,848 meters) at the summit of Everest. Proper acclimatization is required.
